This innovative approach is balanced by good old fashioned classroom instruction to make sure that learners never feel lost or without the support of a dedicated coach.

COLLEGE READINESS
LGI uses technology to prepare college-bound students to meet entrance requirements and eliminate the necessity of remedial courses prior to entrance into a Community College. These programs provide individualized instruction that is designed to:
- Increase SAT results
- Increase Compass Test performance

SPANISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
GED Preparation
LGI provides GED preparation in Spanish for native Spanish-speaking people who want to take their GED Exam in Spanish. The open-enrollment Spanish language GED preparation program consists of the following components:
- Assessments in Reading, Writing/Grammar, Math and Social Studies
- An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) that is based on the results of the initial assessments using Steck Vaughn Spanish Language GED Preparation Workbooks
- Assessments at the end of each unit of study to make sure specific skills are mastered
- A 30-hour Math course designed to supplement the Steck Vaughn curriculum
- An Official Practice Test after each course of study is completed
- A final complete Official Practice Test to make sure the student is ready to take the Official GED Exam.
English Language
LGI provides computer-based English language instruction using Rosetta Stone English language software as an instructional tool. English language students have the advantage of:
- Beginning and ending assessments (measuring conversational skills)
- Setting their own study schedules
- Curriculum that has been designed specifically for their individual needs
